Facts About The Red Planet

The temperature on Mars can be from –1,900 to –90 degrees Fahrenheit. Mars is red because of the rust on the planet. It’s also named after the Roman god of War. Compared to Earth, Mars is a strange planet. Their names mean different things. Mars means the Roman god of War, while ‘Earth’ is from the Old English or German meaning land and sky. Earth and Mars both have a polar ice cap. But sadly, there can be no life on Mars because there is no oxygen.

No life on Mars that we know of... but scientists are still looking into the details.
